Michelle Ink Presents: Magic with Fine Silver Clay Workshop
Whether you're a complete novice or have some prior experience, this workshop is thoughtfully designed to introduce you to the captivating art of working with fine silver clay and allow you to create exquisite pieces that express your unique style. Explore the transformative process of turning raw silver clay into decorative designs for your needlework accoutrements. You will shape and sculpt your creative ideas into tangible works of art - something different and fun and exclusive by you to support your needlework! Michelle's passion for metal clay artistry and her dedication to nurturing your artistic talents will inspire you throughout the workshop. This class is open to all levels of experience, from absolute beginners to those with some prior familiarity with silver clay. All supplies and use of tools included! Just bring your enthusiasm for bling! Michelle will tailor her guidance to your skill level, ensuring that every participant enjoys a rewarding and successful experience. How fun to keep your needles or those orts in a glass bottle decorated with a fine silver charm curated by you! Have a whimsical charm for your floss keeper, topper for a counting pin, or mind your needles in style with the -OG- fine silver needleminder! Or decorate yourself with a cute pair of earrings or fun charm pendant created with your own 2 hands! Better yet, in a day! Without prior knowledge or needing any additional tools! As part of the workshop, you will receive 10 grams of silver clay, with which to create 2-3 silver pieces. More silver clay will be available for purchase during class if you desire to create several pieces or larger pieces. An extensive variety of molds are available for use in class. Upon the end of class with pieces completed, they will be photographed alongside the student's name, address, email and accoutrement choices. Then carefully packed for firing off site, in Michelle's home studio. When final process is done, the silver is polished and gleaming and the magnets or pins are glued, charms attached to glass or fobs as requested in class! And lastly - they will be shipped to provided addresses. Shipping is included in the class fee! Romy's Creations Presents: The Stitching House In this class, Romy will guide you step-by-step through assembling all the sides and finishing for this adorable little box. Yes—you can even open it! The lid features a charming “citrouille” (pumpkin-shaped) pincushion, and she’ll show you exactly how to create it! And what’s inside the box? Well… that’s a surprise! You’ll have to attend the class to find out! The Mindful Needle presents: Stitchy Coffin The inside features a fixed needle minder to store your needles when not in use. In class, you will complete the beaded scissor fob and make all the cording needed to finish the coffin. Kit includes: Stitching pattern, complete finishing instructions, pre-cut finishing boards, 28 count linen, lining fabric, button blank & magnet for needle minder, beads & lobster claw for scissor fob, fabric for pumpkin, stuffing for pumpkin and a painted wooden coffin. In this hands-on class, Maria will walk you through every step of finishing a biscornu. The best part? Once you learn the method, you can make them in any size you like—the process doesn’t change! Romy's Creations Presents: The Spooky Van Get ready for a haunting ride in Romy’s Spooky Van! Two playful ghosts are your drivers, and their funny little van (shaped like the famous sleuthing vehicle from the 70s) is packed full of stitching treasures. Inside this whimsical basket-shaped van, you’ll find all the accessories that every stitcher needs: ~ Scissor case with matching scissor fob ~ A tiny needlebook ~ A mini pumpkin pincushion There’s no need to be afraid! Romy will expertly guide you through each step of finishing these charming accessories. You’ll have your very own spooky set to use or display! Your kit includes: Pattern with step-by-step finishing photos, 32-count purple linen, Romy’s Creations threads, purple/white dotted felt for lining, half spheres for the van wheels, pre-cut cardboard and charms! Please bring pen and paper for note taking as Romy will be demonstrating the assembly of the Spooky Van during the class. The finished model will be on display so you can take plenty of photos for reference.
